About Lindsey Moseman, MA, LMFT
I have a masters degree in marriage and family therapy and art therapy from Antioch University, and I am licensed in Washington State (LF60894111). I have also sought training in play therapy and find it to be particularly helpful, along with art therapy, in my work with children and their families.
I have over 11 years experience in working with children and families, ranging from working with mother’s and their children within a transitional housing program, to working as a family therapist for community psychiatric agencies in Lynnwood and Tacoma. My degree and postgraduate training has been in utilizing art therapy as a way to help children, youth, and adults express and gain a new understanding of themselves and challenges they have encountered. I have found in my work that art can give families a different way to communicate with one another and connect in ways previously inaccessible by only talking.
I enjoy working with children, and have worked with children as young as 3, utilizing art and play therapy techniques and supporting their caretakers in parenting. I have particular interest and specialize in children who have experienced trauma, and much of my postgraduate training is in studying how trauma impacts child development.
